Kunal Patel

DMD

Dr. Patel was born and raised in the southwest between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from University of Pittsburgh. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Nevada Las Vegas among the top of his class. As a student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Dr. Patel served as president of his dental school class and held other positions within organizations such as the American Student Dental Association and Hispanic Student Dental Association. After dental school he completed a one year oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Texas A&M School of Dentistry/Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Patel went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at University of Arizona/Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. After residency, he continued on to complete a rigorous broad scope fellowship at Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis including temporomandibular joint (TMJ), Orthognathic, and trauma surgery. He has obtained Diplomate status (board certification) with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Patel’s particular interests include management of TMJ pain, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, pathology, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, and dental implants.
While not working, Dr. Patel enjoys travelling, outdoor activities, trying new restaurants, and cooking.
